• Darren opened the meeting at 9:05am. He introduced himself as the new chair for 2005. Phillip Morley, Assistant Manager of Alderwood, joined us for part of the meeting.
  
  
• PENDING PROGRAMS
  • Workplace Violence - Committee reviewed the checked out five videos on Workplace Violence from L&I. The videos gave the committee some ideas on what to include in the program and what the issues are that need to be addressed. Four members submitted scenarios for the committee to review. They will continue to provide scenarios relevant to our industry. We also reviewed a WPV and bullying policy that Lake Whatcom Water & Sewer District developed. This might be included as a sample of what districts can do.
• Confined Space - The program was tabled until the February meeting.
  
  
• ROUNDTABLE
  • Dan attempted to contact Coal Creek to determine their level of interest in SORT. Neither Patty nor Steve has returned calls or emails. The committee discussed the next step since the February meeting is scheduled for Coal Creek. They recommended that the next meeting be held at the Pool office in Bellevue.
• The meeting adjourned at 3:00 p.m.
• The next meeting is February 15 at the Pool office.
