¨ Kurt opened the meeting at 9:00am.

¨ LAST MONTH”S PROGRAMS

· Ergonomics – No additional comments. Program will be printed.

· Power Tool Safety – Comments provided. Robert will send out once more before it goes to the Pool for printing.

¨ POOL REPRESENTATIVE

· Bulletin board – the group is mixed on the use of the board. Most agreed that we should leave it to the Pool membership to drive the need for a BBS on the website.

· Training – Dan discussed the opportunity for SORT to sponsor WETRC training. Members expressed concern with some of the training WETRC provides. Very little of it is safety training and SORT has provided better training in the past. The committee recommended focusing on the Smith Systems driver training and let members contact the Pool for any needed training.

· May Meeting – Dan requested that the May meeting at Sammamish Plateau be moved to May 13^th. He will be out of town the 20^th. The committee had no problem with this.

Darren gave us a tour of the M&O facilities.

¨ REVIEW OF NEW PROGRAMS

Jobsite Communication – Kurt made it a PowerPoint presentation. No major changes with context. Committee will review and give comments at next meeting.
Fall Protection – tabled until May meeting.
Asbestos – tabled until May meeting.

¨ ROUNDTABLE

Robert passed out information from the Uniform Fire Code regarding storage of flammable and combustible chemicals.
Several districts expressed a need for driver safety training.
Dan passed out a draft of the April issue of the SORT Report.
