¨ Darin opened the meeting at 9:00am.

¨ LAST MONTH’S PROGRAMS

· Chemical Hygiene Guidelines – No further comments. The program will be printed and posted for members.

· Medical Emergencies – No further comments. The program will be printed and posted for members.

¨ NEW PROGRAMS

There are some programs that will be ready for review by this fall. Here are the programs scheduled for review:

• Trenching & Shoring – Darren Podraza
• Safety Orientation – Kurt Oakland
• Fire Safety – Bill Lathum
• Still looking for a member to review Vehicle/Fleet Safety.

¨ VIDEOS

· The Committee previewed four safety videos. Vehicle Backing was chosen as a good addition to the Pool video library.

¨ ROUNDTABLE

• Members discussed the old PIP program that the Pool used to offer. L&I’s Retro program offers the incentives that PIP used to provide and it more directly impacts safety since it relates to Workers’ Comp claims; something the Pool does not handle. Private organizations also offer claims management services that help companies with their retro program.

¨ The meeting adjourned at 1:45 p.m.

¨ The next meeting will be May 18^th at Sammamish Plateau Water & Sewer District.
