S.O.R.T. MEETING MINUTES

 

May 8, 2002 – Karcher Creek Sewer District

 

Present:

Robert Smart – Covington Water District

Clint Vanderkooi – Sammamish Plateau Water & Sewer District

Bill Lathum – Annapolis Water District

Randy Screws – Karcher Creek Sewer District

Kurt Oakland - Woodinville Water District

Keith Olson – Cedar River Water & Sewer District

¨       Robert opened the meeting at 9:10am

 

¨       Robert will not be attending the June or July SORT meetings.  Clint will chair the meetings in Robert’s place.

 

¨       LAST MONTH”S PROGRAMS

·         Chlorine Safety – Committee made recommendations.  Randy will revise and bring a final draft to the next meeting.

·         Lockout/Tagout – Committee recommended changes.  Robert will bring back at next available meeting for review.

·         Hazard Communication – Robert will review Core Codes and update program based on them.

·         Meter Reader – Committee recommended changes.  Kurt will bring back a final draft for review at the next meeting.

 

¨       POOL REPRESENTATIVE

·      SORT articles – Dan requested articles from the members.  Clint and Kurt will draft some.  Dan will review older newsletters for stories that can be repeated.

·      Member participation – Dan raised the issue of what we should do when a member discontinues attending meetings.  The committee guidelines call for members to attend six meetings a year, write one new program or revise two programs a year, or meet committee approval to stay on the committee.  No conclusion was made.  Committee wished to give this some thought and discuss it further at a future meeting.

 

¨       VIDEO REVIEW

·         Pool 25: The Critical Point – This is a Smith System video on driver safety.  Committee recommended keeping the video.  May be useful as a refresher for those who have attended the Driver Safety Training.

 

¨       The meeting adjourned at 2:15 p.m.

 

¨       The next meeting will be June 12th at Woodinville Water District.
