¨ Darin opened the meeting at 9:13am.

¨ Robert introduced Jefferson Davis, Water Resources and Environmental Affairs Assistant Supervisor for Covington Water District. Jefferson will be managing safety at the district.

¨ PENDING PROGRAMS

• Back Injury Prevention – No further changes. Dan will finalize it and post it on the website.
• Trenching & Shoring – Darren will revise it with the committee’s recommendations and forward to the Pool for publishing.

¨ PENDING PROGRAMS

• Safety Orientation – Kurt will revise it and bring it back to the next meeting.
• Office Security/Workplace Violence – Darin suggested that we consider a program addressing office security and workplace violence. A concern over terrorism and disgruntled customers poses the need for some safety procedures in this area. Members will collect information and discuss it in the Fall.

¨ ROUNDTABLE

• Kurt passed out some information on new traffic control devices on the market.

¨ The meeting adjourned at 2:40 p.m.

¨ The next meeting is September 21^st at Covington.
