August 28, 2002 – Covington Water District

Robert opened the
meeting at 10:15am. The SORT meeting
start time was adjusted to accommodate another meeting taking place in the same
conference room.

LAST MONTH”S PROGRAMS
·
Hazard Communication – Robert will review Core Codes and compare with
current program to determine what needs to be changed.
·
Lockout/Tagout – Committee reviewed program and will provide
additional comments after researching some of the requirements.

POOL REPRESENTATIVE
· 2003 SORT meeting schedule – Dan proposed changing the week in which SORT meetings are held to better accommodate the Pool’s schedule and other activities. The committee suggested several options to consider. They requested that Dan send an email to the group proposing some options.
· 2003 Training – The committee discussed some of the training that they believe members would be interested in. This includes Defensive Driving, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Hepatitis C/BBP, Workplace Violence.
· Program Review – The committee reviewed the schedule of remaining programs to update. The schedule has been revised.

WALK-THROUGH
The committee conducted a walk-through inspection of Covington. They provided Robert with some recommendations to improve the safety of the district’s facilities and operations.

October 9th at Annapolis Water District in Port Orchard.
