S.O.R.T. MEETING MINUTES

September 16, 2003 – Covington Water District

Present:

Robert Smart – Covington Water District

Keith Olson – Cedar River Water & Sewer District

Darin Wolfe - Alderwood Water & Wastewater District

Randy Screws – Karcher Creek Sewer District

Kurt Oakland – Woodinville Water District

John Tadlock - Sammamish Plateau

Dan Foster – WSRMP

¨ Kurt opened the meeting at 9:10am. Dan informed the group that Wayne Rinz, a former SORT member and employee of Coal Creek Utility District, was involved in an accident on September 10^th. He suffered a blow to the head when a cable snapped on a hoist. The committee signed a card that will be delivered to him.

¨ Dan updated the committee on those members eligible for shirts and jackets. He will put together an order and distribute the items at the next meeting.

¨ LAST MONTH”S PROGRAMS

· Asbestos – Committee proposed changes. Robert will bring back in October for review.

· Fall Protection – Tabled until next meeting.

· Safety Responsibilities –– Finished and ready to print.

¨ REVIEW OF NEW PROGRAMS

· Lab Safety – Robert passed out a draft to review. Proposed changes. Robert will bring back at a future date for committee to review.

· Back Injury Prevention – Dan discussed proposed changes. Will scan pictures and bring draft to next meeting.

¨ POOL REPRESENTATIVE

• Dan solicited articles from the members for the upcoming SORT Report.

¨ DISTRICT WALKTHROUGH

• Robert took group on tour of recent damage caused by HVAC failure.

¨ The meeting adjourned at 2:30 p.m.

¨ The next meeting will be October 21^st at Woodinville Water District.
